A fun filled Bush Craft day with Peer Support

September 6th, 2017

A great day out with the Peer Support team

Last month the Peer Support team had a brilliant Bush Craft day at Clifton College Sports Ground. The day began with a friendly and social lunch to make sure everyone was ready for the day.

We then divided into two groups so that everyone could have a go at the activities. We discovered that some of our members are very good at Archery! It was great to see everyone helping and encouraging one other throughout the day.

Over the course of the day everyone had a go at Archery, which we discovered is harder than it looks! Although some of our members picked it up very quickly resulting in a few bulls eye moments. We were also taught how to make a fire from scratch, using only a flint to spark a flame. The determination from some of our members created lots of fire and smoke over the course of the day, which led us to be able to toast some marshmallows over the fire! A real treat on a sunny August afternoon.

We would like to thank all of our members who attended the day who made it truly special and enjoyable for everyone.

If you would like to join us on the next Peer Support trip then please do get in contact with the Peer Support team. It is a great chance to make some new friends as well as discover some new places.
