LinkUpArtists Network ready to make Impact!

Monday July 26 2010

Following a successful application to the Arts Council’s Impact fund, 'LinkUpArts' is pleased to announce that invitations are now open for disabled artists who are dedicated to a career in the arts to join LUAN, the LinkUpArtists’ Network.

Link Up Artists Network (LUAN) will launch with a series of networking events across the South West region. They will include question and answer sessions with venue programmers, group critiques and opportunities for discussion. This initiative has been created in direct response to demand from Disabled artists in the region. The events are limited to 10 artists so that individuals can participate in a meaningful way. The impact funding will enable us to fully support the travel and access costs of each individual attending the events. Everybody who wants to be part of Link Up Artists Network needs to fill in an application form. This can be submitted by email, post or on the phone. The application forms will also be used to select the 10 artists to take part in the networking events which will take place during 2010 and 2011. Artists who join LUAN will be included in a directory for other members to use to make links and contacts across the region. This means that artists can benefit from LUAN even if they are not fortunate enough to be selected for the funded events at this time.

The deadline for applications is: Tuesday 27th July 2010 @ 5:00pm
