WECIL is seeking people interested in becoming Personal Assistants (PAs).
Personal assistance work is varied, and includes tasks such as personal care, domestic support, assistance getting out and about and taking part in community activities, or emotional and learning support. The work is rewarding, and it enables disabled people to have real independence and inclusion in community life.
The jobs are as varied as the people who employ you, including young people, older people, people with learning difficulties, parents of disabled children, and people who have mental and emotional support needs.
The hours are flexible, and the pay rates are competitive. Experience and qualifications are not essential, and training is provided.
WECIL is compiling a register of people interested in being considered for Personal Assistance work. This is a register, which will be used by disabled people and parents and carers looking for staff. There is no obligation to accept jobs being offered, and new Personal Assistants can choose which jobs they are most interested in.
The hours on offer will vary with options of full and part time employment. Some jobs can be fitted in as a second job, which may suit your situation.
