Volunteering
WECIL recognises that the inclusion of volunteers within our workforce can extend its ability to provide an excellent service to its clients. We are therefore committed to ensuring that we fully embrace and develop volunteering within WECIL.
We aim to ensure that volunteers:- Can make a difference to the lives of people who access WECIL’s services
- Time, skills and experience will be used well
- Will be appreciated and recognised
- Will be provided with all the information and guidance required in order to volunteer
- Will be encouraged to develop in their volunteering role
Volunteering at WECIL is a good opportunity to gain new skills, learn about what we do and contribute positively to the lives of Disabled people. You can work for as little or as much time as you wish, all that we would ask is for a minimum time commitment of three months. So, if you have some spare time and you’d like to contribute we’d love to hear from you.
We currently have opportunities for volunteers to work in the following areas:
- Receptionist
- Administrators
- Disability Information and Advice Service Advisors
- DIY – handy person to do DIY
