    We run a Learning Centre and Work Club in Bristol, for local people looking to find work and / or improve their digital and online skills. This is open to disabled people or anyone with a long term health condition.

    Our friendly team of staff and volunteers will help you to improve your basic computer skills, look for jobs online, update your CV and much more. The centre is fully accessible and has specialist equipment such as large key keyboards, screen magnifiers and height adjustable desks.

    * Use web browser to navigate a website
    * Sign in to an email account and setting correct passwords
    * Recognise the common features of scam emails
    * Identify Internet browser security features Create a word document

    The advice clinic runs every 2nd Tuesday and every 3rd Friday of the month. It is run in conjunction with the MS Society (Bristol and South Gloucestershire) and is for people suffering with MS.

    This means that you can meet with one of WECIL's advisers to see if you are receiving all the help you are entitled to in the form of benefits, allowances and grants.

    Regular Saturday club for disabled young people aged 13-18 living in the Bristol area, providing respite for parents and carers.

    These sessions are part of the ‘Out and About’ programme, which offers a range of services for young disabled people, children and their families to access short breaks. WECIL leads a consortium of organisations that together provide: residential trips, after school clubs, holiday activities, a befriender service and a targeted BME service.

    • Would you like to learn new skills and try out activities that you and your peers have organised?

    WECIL runs monthly drop-in sessions in North, East and South Bristol, organised by specially trained volunteers who are disabled people themselves. The group decides what they would like the session to include and then goes about making it happen! Previous activities have included: drumming workshops, 'researching your family tree', accessible sports and creative writing.

    We run a Learning Centre and Work Club in Bristol, for local people looking to find work and / or improve their digital and online skills. This is open to disabled people or anyone with a long term health condition.

    Our friendly team of staff and volunteers will help you to improve your basic computer skills, look for jobs online, update your CV and much more. The centre is fully accessible and has specialist equipment such as large key keyboards, screen magnifiers and height adjustable desks.

    MONDAY 10am – 12noon booked appointments with staff and volunteers only
    12:30 – 3pm drop in internet access for job searching and online learning

    TUESDAY CLOSED for workshops and training courses

    WEDNESDAY CLOSED for workshops and training courses

    THURSDAY 10am – 12noon booked appointments with staff and volunteers only
    12:30 – 3pm booked appointments with staff and volunteers only

    FRIDAY CLOSED for workshops and training courses

  • Human Resource Training For Direct Payment Employers

    This course will cover all of the vital information you need to know as a Direct Payment Employer. The course will cover best practice for recruitment & retention, establishing boundaries, challenging work practices and effective supervision.

    Come join us for some art, writing, discussing, making, tea drinking and creating!Creative Challenges are short creative tasks that help everyone become more creative.

    This is part of WECL's Peer Support Project and open to any disabled adult over 18 in Bristol and the surrounding areas. The activities are free and transport can be provided.
