Employer and PA training

WECIL provides free training courses to help Direct Payment employers feel more confident in managing their Personal Assistants (PAs).

The courses are funded by Skills for Care and cover a range of topics, including:

For employers:

  • Recruitment and retention of Personal Assistants
  • Establishing boundaries and effective supervision
  • Employment law training – basic obligations and responsibilities

For PAs:

  • Establishing good working relationships between you and your employer(s)
  • Core principles of dignity in care
  • Safeguarding

All courses are free and include resources to take away and opportunities for further training. Lunch is provided and travel costs can be reimbursed. There is also four hours funding to back fill the PA. Please contact WECIL for further details.
