  • Day trip: Come to THE WILD PLACE: We hope the sun will be shining on us Thursday 16th May. For £5 (carers/Support Workers go free) join us to explore the grounds and get to know the animals big and small. Transport will leave around 10am and we will be back by 4pm (10.30am till 3.30pm in the WildPlace). Refreshments will be provided on arrival!

    Disabled people together to share experiences, support each other and try new things.

    • Do you live in Bristol or the surrounding area, identify as a disabled person and are over 18 years old?
    • Would you like to share your experiences with others and learn from theirs?
    • Would you like to learn new skills and try out activities that you and your peers have organised?

    WECIL runs monthly drop-in sessions in Bristol, South Glos and North Somerset organised by specially trained volunteers who are disabled people themselves. The group decides what they would like the session to include and then goes about making it happen! Previous activities have included: drumming workshops, 'researching your family tree', accessible sports and creative writing.

    All sessions are low cost to attend.  If you need help arranging community transport please let us know.  If you’d like to find out more, come along to one of the sessions, and/or train as a volunteer, please contact the team on 0117 947 9942 or emailing peersupport@wecil.co.uk

    Bristol and Avon Multiple Sclerosis Centre BrAMS Southmead Hospital Southmead Road Westbury-on-Trym BS10 5NB, Bristol

    The advice clinic runs every 2nd Tuesday and every 3rd Friday of the month. It is run in conjunction with the MS Society (Bristol and South Gloucestershire) and is for people suffering with MS.

    This means that you can meet with one of WECIL's advisers to see if you are receiving all the help you are entitled to in the form of benefits, allowances and grants.

    Hillfields Youth Centre, Thicket Road, Bristol, United Kingdom BS16 4EH

    Regular Saturday club for disabled young people aged 13-18 living in the Bristol area, providing respite for parents and carers.

    These sessions are part of the ‘Out and About’ programme, which offers a range of services for young disabled people, children and their families to access short breaks. WECIL leads a consortium of organisations that together provide: residential trips, after school clubs, holiday activities, a befriender service and a targeted BME service.
